Global Outreach Committees

The Executive Committee is responsible for the make decisions and ensures that these decisions are carried out. Executive committee duties are based on providing organizational direction on behalf of the board and advising the board on decisions and business matters ranging from strategy planning, policy, investment and risk.


The Legal Committee is empowered to deal with any legal matters within the scope of the Organization. The Committee consists of all Member States of GOMHA. The Legal Committee is also empowered to perform any duties within its scope which may be assigned by or under any other international instrument and accepted by the Organization.


The Review Committee (Research and Scientific) is responsible for create an uniform set of high standards for each accredited specialty and subspecialty applied across all accredited residency and fellowship programs educating and training. Accredited residency and fellowship programs are continuously monitored for substantial compliance with the requirements set by the applicable Review Committee, including through data collection and evaluation, surveys, and site visits. The Review Committees regularly review the accreditation requirements to ensure they are based on current and best practices in the field. The GOMHA sets standards designed to cultivate a team-based learning environment and culture in which residents and fellows serve as both learners and mentors in delivering high-quality patient-focused care. Residents and fellows provide regular feedback to the GOMHA about their programs, offering an inside view that helps the organization to improve the overall quality of accredited programs.


The Management Committee is responsible for directing the activity of the organisation, ensuring it is well run and delivering the outcomes for which it has been set up. The Management Committee plays an important role in the organisation as both leaders and decision-makers. Their overall responsibilities are Vision and Values, Accountability, Legal Duties, Financial Oversight, Managing Staff, Managing Volunteers etc.


A chief executive officer (CEO) is the position of the most senior organization officer, executive, leader or administrator in charge of managing an organization. CEOs lead a range of organizations, including public and private corporations, non-profit organizations and even some government organizations. The responsibility of an organization's CEO are set by the organization's board of directors or other authority, depending on the organization's legal structure.


A chief financial officer (CFO) is the senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of an organization. The CFO's duties include tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analyzing the organization's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions. The CFO is similar to a treasurer or controller because he is responsible for managing the finance and accounting divisions and for ensuring that the organization’s financial reports are accurate and completed in a timely manner.


A chief operating officer (COO) is one of the highest-ranking executive positions in an organization, comprising part of the "C-Suite". The COO is responsible for the daily operation of the organization, and routinely reports to the highest-ranking executive, usually the chief executive officer (CEO). The COO is usually the second in command at the firm, especially if the highest-ranking executive is the Chairman and CEO.


A Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is an executive responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining organization strategic initiatives.


The Publication Committee is responsible for the quality of GOMHA publications and shall provide direction to and review of the society's print and electronic publications, including journals, books, news, educational and all other publications.


The Programme Committee is responsible for the overall programme preparation, the selection of speakers as well as for the launch of calls for sessions and the evaluation of proposals. It is made up of the leading individuals in science and research appointed by the Steering Committee.


The Marketing and Media Committee is responsible the Global Outreach Medical & Health Association promotion and the overall communication & media strategy elaboration.


The Public Relations Committee will serve as the information/communications resource for Global Outreach Medical & Health Association. The committee will administer the association’s internet website, member, newsletter, advertising and public relation issues in conjunction with the executive board members. The Public Relations Committee will work closely with the Board members about the various activities being worked on by the committee.


The Student Committee is responsible to represent students in our state and voice their needs, concerns, and ideas. A couple of ways we accomplish this is through organizing and facilitating student membership drives at various school campuses, coordinating student and community events to promote networking opportunities, and preparing the student poster session at the annual Global Outreach Medical & Health Association conference.
